Sculpture Unveiling - Trash Bash Monster Mash

Join us for a celebration of the installation of Gabriel Friedman's sculpture made of trash! OKC Beautiful teamed up with Gabriel to create a large-scale sculpture to communicate about the harms of litter and single-use materials.

The Trash Bash Monster Mash is a celebration of this collaborative work and will be an event blending art and environmental education! Come learn from environmental and arts organizations, check out the art piece, and join us in celebration of this piece in Scissortail Park!

October 22, 12:00 - 2:00, Scissortail Lower Park, southeast corner

Community Organizations at the Event: OKC Sustainability Office, Squeeze Every Drop, Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition, Oklahomans for the Arts, Allied Arts, Scissortail Park Horticulture, Fertile Ground, Riversport OKC, OKC Beautiful, and OKC Parks!

We will have a litter cleanup at 11:00 before the community event, along the Oklahoma River. Trash collected during this cleanup will be installed on-site during the community event. We will meet in the parking lot on the north side of the river trail, between South Robinson and S Walker. Sign up to volunteer!

Thank you to our sponsors on this collaborative art project: Cynthia & Jerry Brindley, CLEAN The Uniform Company, Commercial Oklahoma, and Midtown Rotary.
