NEOKC Tree Program

OKC Beautiful is teaming up with the Oklahoma Forestry Service and the USDA Forest Service to plant 400 trees in your area of Oklahoma City! Trees are free to organizations, businesses, and neighbors in the project boundaries. Trees provide shade, improve air quality, benefit the environment, and beautify our neighborhoods. This project is supported by the Oklahoma Forestry Service and the USDA Forest Service.

Trees will be planted by trained volunteers on May 2nd, 2026. In the weeks leading up to planting, you will be contacted to schedule a time for one of our program representatives to visit your property with you and help determine the best planting location(s). OKC Beautiful will process all OKIE811 requests to ensure no conflicts with utilities on your property.

All trees are 3-6 foot tall, 5-gallon, 1/2" caliper.
You can choose from the following tree species:

American Persimmon
Caddo Maple
Cedar Elm
Bald Cypress

Participation Requirements:

Must be a property in the project boundaries in northeast Oklahoma City. Click here to view project boundaries.
Trees must be planted in the front yard of a residential property.
Property owner / tenant must commit to watering the trees until established (minimum of three years) and caring for the tree(s) in perpetuity.
Request must be made by the property owner.

Trees are offered on a first come, first served basis, so prompt registration is encouraged. While submitting a request does not guarantee receipt, we will do our best to facilitate all requests. The deadline to request planting assistance is April 20. Trees will be planted May 2nd, weather permitting.

I certify that I am the property owner at the site at which these trees are being requested.

I give permission to OKC Beautiful, a nonprofit organization located at 1404 NW 1st Street, and its representatives, partners, and volunteers, to enter my property for the limited purpose of participating in Tree OKC programming. Such participation may include, but is not limited to, surveying the property in order to locate appropriate planting sites, delivering supplies, digging holes, and planting trees.

I agree to allow agents of OKIE811 to enter my property in order to mark utility lines, so as to ensure the safety of the volunteers and the proper placement of the tree, and understand that OKC Beautiful will submit a utility locate request on my behalf.

I understand that a representative of OKC Beautiful or one of its chosen partners will work with me to determine the best planting location for my tree(s), and that the chosen location(s) is/are not to be changed once decided upon and marked, unless safety dictates otherwise as determined by OKC Beautiful.

I guarantee watering and care for my tree after it is planted, as instructed by OKC Beautiful and understand any future care is the responsibility of me as the property owner and OKC Beautiful is not responsible for any tree removal should survival be affected.
