Community Foresters Program
The Community Foresters Program is a four-week training course designed to develop a well-prepared and educated volunteer force for Oklahoma City's tree canopy. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on activities, participants learn about tree identification, planting, maintenance, and more! Classes are taught by urban foresters, certified arborists, and community leaders.
To complete the program, participants are required to attend four sessions and complete 10 annual volunteer hours. The series of classes takes place every Saturday in February, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Lunch is provided at each session.
Once completing the Community Foresters program, participants will have knowledge of tree care and advocacy and be equipped to take on leadership roles in OKC Beautiful’s volunteer events.
Program participation is $100, though scholarships may be available upon request. Deadline to apply is December 15.
