Bags & Butts Collection Event for America Recycles Day

Celebrate America Recycles Day by joining our plastic bags and cigarette litter collection event! Help us dispose of these hard-to-recycle items in a way that’s safer for our environment and for our communities!

How can you participate? Gather bags and butts and bring them to us for recycling! Plastic bags and film packaging are important durable and lightweight protection for food and merchandise in transit. But these materials SHOULD NOT be recycled in most curbside carts or single stream programs. Gather your plastic bags that fit within the described criteria found here, and bring them to us! All plastic bags collected will be sent to NexTrex to be recycled into hard plastic material Cigarette butts leach toxins into our water and soil, create fire hazards in our communities, and are dangerous for our wildlife.
