Sustainability Social Hour

OKC Beautiful's Sustainability Social Hour is for those who love the environment and our city. Each session is centered around networking with those who have a passion for and want to learn more about environmental stewardship topics.

Each session features a conversational Q&A with a guest speaker. May features Ashton Attig and Cricket Kaya, the hosts of the Out on Earth Podcast based in Oklahoma City. 

The event includes a mix and mingle portion from 5:00- 5:30, then kicks off the one-hour Q&A session.

Cricket and Ashton are the duo behind Out On Earth, a queer ecology podcast based in Oklahoma City. Hailing from small towns alongside I-40, they stumbled into friendship as freshmen at the University of Oklahoma and haven't stopped yapping since. Their shared obsession with environmental justice, hating gender roles, and cracking existential jokes led them to launch Out On Earth in August 2023, and they've been surprised and delighted by the thousands of listeners who've tuned in from every corner of the globe. Through deep dives into queer history and heartfelt personal explorations, they celebrate the intersection of queer identity and the natural world, offering a fresh, affirming perspective into environmental activism. With their infectious energy and out-of-this-world humor, they prove that you can save the world without taking yourself too seriously.
