About the event
OKC Beautiful's Sustainability Social Hour is for those who love the environment and our city. Each session is centered around networking with those who have a passion for and want to learn more about environmental stewardship topics.
Each session features a conversational Q&A with a guest speaker. August features Susan Chambers. Susan received her B.S. in Botany from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and her M.S. in Horticulture/Nursery Production from Oklahoma State University. She spent five years as the grower for a nursery/greenhouse in northeast OKC and then went into business as Rose Rock Landscape and Design, focusing on native plants as much as possible. She mostly retired in December of 2022, but keeps her hand in the business of native plants on her 2 ½ acres. She was part of the formation of the Oklahoma Native Plant Network in early 2023 and is the festival organizer for them.
