What is LitterBlitz?

OKC Beautiful has organized litter pick-up events since its inception in 1962.  LitterBlitz, as a formal program, began in 2001 and has steadily grown since then. This program is a partnership between OKC Beautiful, the City of Oklahoma City and the Great American Clean-Up.  In April of 2011 more than 10,000 Oklahoma City residents worked together to help pick up litter throughout the Oklahoma City metro area, picking up more than 60 tons of trash off our streets.  Organizations, businesses, and individuals can contact the OKC Beautiful offices at 525-8822 to receive free trash bags and gloves to clean up an area of their choice or you can enter your contact information in the form below.  Not only will the group receive trash bags and gloves, but they will also have the option of having a short seminar conducted by an OKC Beautiful representative regarding the impact of litter on a community, as well as safety tips for picking up litter.
