Calling all young gardeners! Join us for an exciting adventure as we dig into the world of gardening and explore the ingredients needed for a delicious pizza! From juicy tomatoes to fragrant basil to zesty peppers, this hands-on class will inspire kids to connect with nature, learn about plant life, and cultivate their own delicious harvest. Participants will practice sowing basil seeds in cups to take home!
Kasey Meek brings her passion for nature and education into one role as OKC Beautiful's Education Director, overseeing youth environmental education programs. Growing up in Texas, there was never a shortage of parks that encompassed nature's beauty. Combining her Environmental Science degree with a decade of experience in recreational programming, she hopes to encourage children's curiosity for nature, in hopes it will lead to a greater appreciation for all life.
