Prairie Conservation in Mitch Park with Edmond Urban Forestry

Volunteer Opportunity with Edmond Urban Forestry!

At this event, volunteers will contribute to the management of invasive species within native grass areas at Mitch Park by removing small trees that are encroaching into the prairie ecosystem.

We will meet at the parking area north of Mathis Skate Park. Look for Urban Forestry's green tent!

Volunteers are encouraged to bring drinking water, but work gloves will be provided. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and close toed shoes, as well as sun protection. Insect repellant is recommended.
